Freeze Concentration Process
Step 1
It all starts from the ice crystal point of view by
removing heat from the solution.
This is typically done using a scraped
surface heat exchanger (SSHE). The inside surface is scraped by a rotating
shaft while the outside is cooled by a refrigerant.
Tiny ice crystals are
formed at this cold surface.
