
Lysine-HCl
Lysine, one of the essential amino acids, is industrially produced by fermentation. Beginning with the clear filtrated fermentation liquors, GEA Messo PT has designed several plants including the pre-concentration, the ammonia stripping, the conversion to Lysine-HCl and the continuous Lysine-HCl dihydrate crystallization. The normal quality reached is of animal grade, whereas the re-crystallization of the animal grade will result in a white and pure product of food grade quality.
Our plants are characterized by:
- High energy efficiency due to the integration of evaporation, crystallization and stripping.
- High yield due to the use of a 2nd crop crystallization.
- Optimum purity due to the integration of first and second crop (purge) crystallization together with food grade re-crystallization.
- Compared to batch systems the continuous crystallization is able to provide improved constant quality in particle size and purity.
- Excellent crystal size due to the use of DTB crystallizer technology.
