Over the last four decades, our Research facility has analyzed hundreds of crude salt samples from solar ponds from more than 30 locations (mainly around the Mediterranean Sea). The results are summarized in Table 1 of the article mentioned above. The dispersion in solar salt compositions can be explained by the different methods of operating and harvesting a solar pond, rather than as being related to the geographical location and its weather conditions.
